Goals

To increase the logistics network capacity, to raise warehouse output and to decrease resource expenses by implementing new warehouse equipment and its integration to industrial warehouse management system.

Solutions

It was decided that the first EWM implementation project to be launched at the warehouse had not been automated at all. At the warehouse, all operations were manual; the warehouse director and heads of the shifts were responsible for distribution and control of the tasking. During the project, SAP EWM was integrated to the SAP ERP system in use. Long and productive work with the SAP ERP system accumulated specific processes necessary to comply with regulatory standards on alcoholic, alcohol-containing, and tobacco products distribution. The Project team had a task of providing SAP ERP integration with new WMS and warehouse processes according to standard scenarios to minimize implementation and replication costs.
